01About this statement
This statement is made on behalf of Cedo Ltd, the company that owns and operates the Roar! brand, in line with the spirit of section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015. It sets out the steps we have taken, and continue to take, to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in any part of our business or our supply chains.
We are firmly committed to acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships, and to implementing and enforcing effective systems and controls to guard against slavery and human trafficking. We have a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery in all its forms, including forced, bonded or compulsory labour, human trafficking and child labour.

02Our business
Roar! is a household products brand offering scarily strong drawstring bin bags and related household essentials, sold through UK retailers and online marketplaces. Our day-to-day operations cover product development, sourcing, packaging, marketing and distribution.
We recognise that the manufacturing and consumer-goods sectors can carry a heightened risk of labour exploitation, particularly within lower tiers of global supply chains. We take that responsibility seriously and keep our practices under regular review.
03Our supply chains
Our supply chains include manufacturers and suppliers of raw materials (such as recycled and virgin polymer film), converters who produce finished goods, packaging suppliers, logistics and warehousing partners, and providers of professional and digital services.
We expect every organisation in our supply chain to share our commitment to ethical, lawful and responsible conduct, and to uphold the rights of workers in line with applicable laws and international standards, including the International Labour Organization (ILO) core conventions.
04Our policies
We operate a number of policies that together describe our approach to identifying and preventing modern slavery in our operations and supply chains, including:
- Ethical conduct & anti-slavery — our commitment to acting ethically and to a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery.
- Supplier code of conduct — the standards we expect suppliers to meet on labour rights, working conditions, pay and freedom from forced labour.
- Whistleblowing — encouraging staff and partners to raise concerns about wrongdoing, including human rights abuses, without fear of reprisal.
- Recruitment & employment — fair, transparent hiring with right-to-work checks and no recruitment fees charged to workers.
05Due diligence
As part of our efforts to identify and mitigate risk, we take reasonable steps to understand who we work with and how they operate. Depending on the supplier and the risk involved, this can include:
- Assessing new and existing suppliers, with closer scrutiny of higher-risk regions and activities.
- Building modern-slavery and ethical-trading expectations into our supplier terms and onboarding.
- Encouraging suppliers to cascade equivalent standards to their own suppliers and sub-contractors.
- Reviewing relationships where concerns are identified, and supporting remediation where appropriate rather than simply disengaging.
06Risk & assessment
We assess modern-slavery risk with reference to factors such as country of operation, the nature of the work, the use of agency or seasonal labour, and the length and complexity of the supply chain. Where we identify elevated risk, we prioritise engagement, request further information, and take proportionate action to address it.
We treat this statement and the measures behind it as part of a continuous process. We will keep our risk assessment and controls under review and strengthen them as our business grows.
07Training & awareness
We work to ensure that those involved in sourcing and supplier management understand the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking, how to spot the warning signs, and what to do if they have concerns. We aim to raise awareness across the wider team so that everyone understands our values and the standards we expect of our partners.
08Reporting concerns
Everyone has a part to play in preventing slavery and human trafficking. If you are a member of staff, supplier, contractor or member of the public and you suspect that modern slavery is occurring in any part of our business or supply chain, please tell us.
Raise a concern
Email us in confidence at Info@roarhousehold.com. If you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the police on 999, or call the UK Modern Slavery & Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700.
